Welcome to a place
where the transforming
love of Jesus Christ
is known and shared!

First United Methodist Church
has been a part of the Olympia
community for 155 years—a living
body of believers known as a caring
community with faithful service. We
would love to welcome you to the
fellowship of this church, whether you
are a newcomer to the community or a long-time resident.

This is a large church with rich and varied programs to offer. Our worship schedule includes two Sunday morning services—a Celebration service at 8:45, and a Traditional service at 11:15. In between services, at 10:00 a.m., you will find a wide variety of Christian education opportunities. If you can't attend on Sundays or would enjoy a more intimate style of worship, join us Saturday evenings at 7:00. All of these services are centered in Scripture and our pastors seek to bring the message in an alive, vital way, relevant to the issues we all face.

Vital small groups, varied short-term adult classes on Sunday mornings, along with Christian education for children and youth, fine youth programming on Sunday nights, and service opportunities near and far are available for people who want to grow in their faith and discipleship.

They have had a hand in shaping its ministries and in turn have themselves been shaped by its ministries and by God.
