Spend a Day with Tex Sample

The event will be held on the campus of First United Methodist Church. Dr. Sample will present two keynote addresses based on his latest work, A Christian Justice for the Common Good (Abingdon, 2016). PNW clergy may receive Continuing Education Credit Hours for attending the event.
Supplemental workshops are planned for church leaders and pastors, each designed to help us find ways to create a Christian justice for the Common Good. Churches are encouraged to bring teams of leaders to experience a variety of workshop training opportunities.
About Tex Sample
Tex Sample is a noted theologian with over a dozen books published on a broad range of topics. His work focuses on justice and the United Methodist Church. Under this broad umbrella of work, some of the topics he regularly returns to includes economic justices, LGBTQ justices, interfaith community based justice work, and blues and country music. He has his Master of Divinity degree from Boston University and taught at St. Paul School of Theology for several decades. Dr. Sample is a talented speaker and storyteller, well known and respected for both his academic work and his commitment to service in his local United Methodist Church community. Tex will present two lectures drawn from his most recent book, A Christian Justice For the Common Good (Abingdon, 2016).
