UNITED METHODIST WOMEN'S PURPOSE
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in global ministries of the church.
Our local unit has several small groups. Each group welcomes new members at any time and offers their own program of activities that included devotions, study of social and global issues, service projects and fellowships.

PANORAMA UMW CIRCLE
Meets third Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. at Panorama Retirement Community, Seattle Room in the Quinault Bldg. for devotions and programs of interest to the group. Lunch is optional at the Panorama restaurant.

WOMEN & FINANCE
Meets first Monday, 9:00 a.m. at River's Edge Restaurant in Tumwater for breakfast and fellowship with guest speakers; all women and men are welcome. Breakfast is on your own. No reservations are required. The group meets October through June.

United Methodist Women also offers Fellowship Groups with a focused service activity along with fellowship and learning.
Meets first Tuesday, 2:00 p.m., at the church to make banners and other Sanctuary decorations.

FOSTERING HOPE QUILTERS
Meets second Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 12 noon, at the church, to make quilts for children in foster homes under the care of Department of Social and Health Services.

NEW EVENING SESSION meets fourth Wednesday, 6:30 p.m., at the church, for inexperienced and experienced quilters. Come and learn how to make quilts.

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY
Meets third Tuesday, 3:00 p.m. at the church for fellowship while knitting or crocheting shawls and lap robes. Finished items go to anyone needing support, comfort or in celebration.

Meets every Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church to work on hand sewn quilts on commission. Funds go to UMW projects. Brown bag lunch.
